Oh so THRIFTY!

Hey there!  Hope you all are well and in great spirits while reading this.  I wanted to share with you all my recent Thrift Store purchases and some rules I have when thrifting.  I do not do a whole lot of shopping, it’s definitely to a point of actually really needing something or it has to really stand out to me.

I posted a thrifted look on my IG a few days ago and made it part of my first giveaway.  If you guessed how much the entire look was, being $5 lower or higher, you would win.  This is the look…

I really loved this look, I am all for a casual chic combination and this was exactly that. All of the items were purchased a different times and it all just came together.

This look cost $15, but I got the shoes at 33% off of $4.99, and the skirt and top were 50% off of $3.99 and $5.99, so I actually paid $8.40 I believe.

Next we have this cute mid drift zippered top from Asos that I purchased for like $6, maybe lol…

Lastly, I am no longer a fan of actual pajamas, I like negligee’s and sexy loungewear.  I found this Victoria Secret piece…

This was about $4….such great pieces at very very affordable prices.

RULES TO THRIFTING!

1. Carve out a time frame, because depending on the size of the store, you could be there for hours.

2. Go alone or with someone who will be extremely focused shopping as well and will understand why you are in such deep thought while roaming through the aisles.

3. Give yourself a budget, just because you are in the thrift store means nothing, trust me the prices add up pretty quickly!

4. Find out when the sale days are

5.  Check for the return policy, and other consumer rules

6. Don’t go in expecting to find anything, you will then find so much more!

These are just a few rules to start off…thrift shopping is not what it used to be, everyone is benefiting from it.  Have you thrifted before?  Share your experience, I’d love to hear from you!

#ootd (yesterday) Details

Good morning beautiful people…happy super soul Sunday!  This post is dedicated to the details of my outfit of the day yesterday.  I haven’t been posting my looks because I honestly wasn’t focused on putting looks together in the hot as ever Vegas weather, I just wanted to have least clothes on as possible…or none at all! Lol.  I am now back on the east coast and I will post more looks.

My look yesterday was not festive at all, it was on top of all the mess in my suitcase so I went with it.

image

image

If you follow me on my social media you’ve already seen these photos, but what I failed to share were the details on each piece, so let’s get into it…..

image

Top: American Eagle
Purchased from: Thrift Store
Price: around $5-$6

image

image

Pants: Greylin
Purchased from: TJMaxx
Price: $3 on super final sale clearance

image

Sandals: Link (kids shoes)
Purchased from: a $5 and up shoe store in Vegas
Price: $9.99

Let’s calculate:

$5+$3+10(9.99)=$18

You can be trendy, cute, put together for a very inexpensive price.  Does my outfit look like it’s an $18 outfit?  Nope, well at least I don’t think so.  You have to have a bit of patience, a knowing of when and where to go, or just hire someone like myself to handle it all for you!

Thanks so much for reading…you all are AWESOME 🙂

Window Shopping…

Hey you all!  I’m not even going to get into why I’ve been MIA, I will just get into the point of this post…for now!  You know I have to share everything with you all…it is a lifestyle blog, so I shall share all aspects of my life, when the time is right.

On to the fashion…yesterday morning I arrived to work 45 minutes early so I took the opportunity to window shop.  The mall I work in is called Fashion Show Mall, so you know they have all the best stores.

First I passed Louis Vuitton, and I now have a new love for shades so my eyes focused on these babies

image

I love the shape of the frames, and the print.  The white detail on the corners is a bit weird but I’m sure that’s what they were going for.  It wouldn’t be so bad if the detail wasn’t so white and more pearly white for a better contrast.

Moving on, next stop was Ted Baker.  I believe one trend that will never go out of style for Spring and Summer seasons are floral pumps, do you have any?  Check out these babies

image

Don’t you just love them?  They are a work of art, and I love the gold trimming.

Have I ever mentioned  my love for stripes???  And my love for black and white???  So you know once I saw this I was attached…..

image

This top is from 7 For All Mankind.  I am not a fan of what its paired with but it doesn’t take anything away from the top, the top is a must have.

The next few photos will just be the photo and store information……

Love…Love…Love…Kate Spade

Buckle…I love this entire outfit!  This is why I don’t categorize my style.  I love it all, depending on my mood and my mood right now is very free and fly like a bird, I wanna fly away!

Anything you see that you must have???  Let me know…

Thank you so much for reading, you all are awesome!

Accessories: Mini Haul Items

Good evening!  So a couple of days ago I shared with you the link to my Youtube video of my Mini Haul.  How may of you have watched it???  Well just in case sitting and watching a video isn’t your thing, I will be sharing the items in this post..

image

I honestly can’t wait to go buy some new clothes and start doing fashion hauls for you dolls…

Until then, we will start out with Accessories!  Sometimes it’s best to start out with these and build on up.  I have always been a big bag carrier, the bigger the better, with everything.  After day after day of doing that, those bags tend to get heavy and I was feeling it in my back and my arms.  I now need to transition to smaller bags so this is the beginning of my collection.

image

This is very similar to a clutch, it just has the handle that you can hold.  It’s mint green in color which is perfect for Spring and Summer.  It’s a casual chic piece that you can use dressed up or dressed down which is great, it’s like getting more for your money.

image

I just love this bag…I love the simplicity of black and white, and again it’s so chic!  It has two side compartments and the zip open in the middle, the gold detail in the zipper and strap make it a bit more fabolous!

Next, I have not been a huge wearer of shades, but things are about to change in my life so it’s time to own some shades!

image

These are the ones I’ve been rocking for over a week now, they go with the black and white bag perfectly, as they too have gold detailing…

image

The next pair I love because of the animal print on the frames…

image

Lastly, these weren’t originally in the video…I had a pair that I thought I loved until I did the video and realized that wasn’t the case, so I went and exchanged them for this pair…

image

Do you love the items???  Let me know…I love getting you all’s comments!

All items were purchased at The Limited, shop http://www.thelimited.com
